I love to think about the origins of landscapes. The Finger Lakes region presents an endless stream of questions about the slow but constant play between tectonics, erosion, deposition, and weather. For six years I have worked as an environmental geologist helping to mitigate the harm we humans have caused since the industrial revolution.
My studies in geology have taken me to Argentina, Hawaii, Colorado, Puerto Rico, and California. And I must say, the sunsets don’t get any better than those we see over the Finger Lakes. Sometimes I give talks about our local natural history. And I’m always ready to chat about it. Please contact me if you’re interested too.
